International Energy Saving Day

In order to implement the provisions of the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated 14.06.2007 No. 3 "On priority areas for strengthening the economic security of the state", the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated 08.01.2015 No. 239-Z "On energy saving", the campaign "Belarus - an energy-efficient country" was held at Mogotex OJSC.

The purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness of the population about the importance of efficient use of energy resources, possible ways and methods of saving them, including in everyday life and at home, which is a significant measure in improving the well-being of citizens and the economic growth of the country as a whole.

Taking into account that efficient and reasonable consumption of energy resources largely depends on the mobilization of efforts of all government agencies, institutions, organizations and business communities, public associations, and the media, Mogotex OJSC joined the national information and educational campaign “Belarus – an Energy-Efficient Country” and took an active part in informing employees and society about the importance of energy efficiency and ways to save energy in everyday life.

For the International Energy Saving Day, the Department of Energy Efficiency organized a number of thematic events: round tables, training seminars – for specialists; open lessons and information hours, intellectual games, competitions and quizzes – for children and young people; mini-competitions – for subscribers in social networks; hotlines – to answer the most pressing questions of citizens and organizations; press events – for representatives of the media.

Rumyantsev V.V., Chief Power Engineer, took part in the round table "Belarus - an energy-efficient country" on November 11, organized by the Mogilev Regional Department for Supervision of Rational Use of Fuel and Energy Resources, then the information was conveyed to the members of the enterprise's team.

The events are aimed at drawing attention to energy efficiency and energy saving issues, popularizing, in a form accessible to a wide range of citizens, the economic, environmental and social benefits of an energy- and resource-saving lifestyle, strengthening the energy independence of our country.
