Digital Literacy Week

In the period from November 26 to December 2, the republican preventive action "Digital Literacy Week" was held in the Leninsky district of Mogilev.

As part of the campaign, Mogotex OJSC was visited by a senior operative of the Department for combating cybercrime of the Leninsky District police Department.Mogilev Korolkov Maxim Alexandrovich.

The senior operative noted that in the first half of 2024, there were more than four victims of fraud in the Leninsky district.

The most relevant types of cybercrimes:

• Vishing "a call from a bank", "a call on behalf of a law enforcement officer", "a call on behalf of an employee of a cellular company", a call from a supervisor;

• Phishing is the most common criminal fraud scheme through correspondence in messengers (viber, telegram, whatsapp);

• Free access to a bank card;

• Purchase with prepayment;

• Blackmail.
